Both Bungie and the Destiny 2 community are now in the final stages of preparation for the late February launch of the big Lightfall DLC, and pre-order owners are already receiving their copies of the Collector's Edition of the expansion pack. What makes the Collector's Edition packages particularly notable, however, is that they come with exclusive lore and goodies that the community works together to unravel.
Something similar happened with the Collector's Edition of Destiny 2 Witch Queen, it's worth pointing out. Bungie seems to have made a habit of sending these out somewhat early to allow buyers and other community members to join forces and figure out all the secrets contained within. Aside from potentially huge lore reveals, a few important cosmetics have sprung up as well this time around.
Secrets are the bread and butter of Destiny 2's lore communities, and Bungie is keen on setting up major story beats with pre-release materials, much as what's included in the Collector's Edition bundles. This time around, Reddit user goboy3133 was one of the first to post about receiving the Collector's Edition of the upcoming Lightfall DLC. Included within are several curious booklets' worth of lore featuring Osiris, Caiatl, and the Mysterious Stranger herself, and it didn't take long until eagle-eyed readers uncovered a series of puzzles contained within. Each puzzle provided a unique multi-use Emblem Code, and goboy3133 has shared them with everyone interested in adding them to their own profiles.
The community's expectations for Destiny 2 in 2023 are high, considering all the important changes that Lightfall is bringing about, and those who want to commemorate the occasion with a few neat cosmetics can use the following codes on Bungie's official redeem pages:
There was one more code contained within the Collector's Edition bundle, but that was a single-use item that goboy3133 naturally used themselves. The four codes featured above, on the other hand, can be activated as many times as needed. Users may wish to note, however, that the emblems won't actually appear until Lightfall comes out. Activating them early simply makes it so that they appear after February 28.
With Destiny 2's upcoming 6-player activities already hinted at, most Guardians will be itching at the chance to show off their cosmetics wherever they go. A full set of pre-release Lightfall Emblems should serve well in this regard, and it's unclear for how long exactly these codes might stick around before they end up getting deactivated.
Bungie has promised already that Destiny 2 Lightfall will battle FOMO, but it's a given that the dreaded fear of missing out won't ever be entirely gone from a full-fledged live-service title. Of all the different cosmetics that the game offers, Emblems are probably the one place where a bit of FOMO isn't that big of a deal, so those interested in getting the featured codes up and running may wish to do so as soon as possible.
